Prenatal and postnatal care in Sweden is free and provided through barnmorskemottagning (midwife clinics). The system is midwife-led.

BVC

Child Health (BVC)

Every child in Sweden is assigned to a BVC (barnavårdscentral) — a free child health centre that monitors development from birth to age 6.
